The National University of Singapore (NUS) Master of Science (MSc) in Industry 4.0 is a multidisciplinary graduate degree programme that taps on the deep expertise of six NUS academic units in areas pertinent to Industry 4.0.
This webinar is intended for a general audiences, ranging from tertiary students to working professionals. While the webinars are free, registration is still required.

Industry 4.0 – Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Automation

The programme aims to prepare graduates for the emerging workplace of the fourth industrial revolution (also known as Industry 4.0), by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to keep pace with the changes occurring in various industries (particularly manufacturing) due to technological disruption, and to lead transformation to enhance productivity in the workplace.

  • Staying competitive in the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0)
  • The need for industries with established processes, operations, supply chains and technologies to change and improve
  • Impact of Industry 4.0-related technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics and Automation on industries, job profiles and sustainability

Dr Prahlad Vadakkepat is a professor at the National University of Singapore with more than three decades of research expertise in AI and Robotics. His translational research led to the founding of several start-ups in Robotics, AI and 3D printing in Singapore and India. He has also served as an advisor to the Indventr consortium developing affordable emergency care ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr Vadakkepat is the Founder and General Secretary (2000—20016) of the Federation of International Robot-soccer Association. He was the General Chair to the Federation of International Robot-Sport Association (FIRA) Robot World Cup & Congress Singapore 2005 & Bangalore 2010, and General Programme Chair to FIRA Robot World Congress Incheon. His humanoid robots and robot soccer teams have consistently won several international prizes.
Dr Vadakkepat was also the Editor-In-Chief for the Springer Reference Book on Humanoid Robotics, and is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Humanoid Robotics.
